Beth Fischer, M.Ed., never set out to become a betrayal trauma expert. A former teacher and school principal, she believed her future would revolve around education, family, and raising her two daughters. However, after navigating years of betrayal within her own marriage and discovering firsthand that traditional marriage counseling often left both betrayed and unfaithful partners feeling frustrated, misunderstood, and emotionally stuck, she became determined to understand why. What began as a personal search for answers eventually evolved into a mission to help others heal after betrayal by shifting the focus from fixing the relationship to healing the individuals within it.
Today, Beth has helped more than 20,000 betrayed partners, unfaithful partners, and couples heal after infidelity and betrayal through her courses, educational programs, webinars, book, and consultations. She is the author of "On the Other Side of Pain: Healing After Betrayal", the creator of the Betrayal Trauma Healing Method®, the founder of Betrayal Trauma Awareness Day, and is widely recognized as the expert people turn to when traditional marriage counseling fails after betrayal.
Beth helps betrayed partners understand that they are often experiencing a trauma response—not simply a relationship problem—and provides them with a clear roadmap for healing betrayal trauma and rebuilding trust in themselves. She also helps unfaithful partners heal from shame and understand the deeper roots of their behavior. For couples hoping to reconcile, she teaches them how to build healthier relationships founded on honesty, accountability, and trust. Her work is grounded in a simple belief: healing after betrayal begins by healing the individuals first.
